1. Definitions
“The Company” refers to NV Builders and Decorators Limited.
“The Client” refers to the individual, company, or party requesting the works.
“Works / Services” refers to any building, renovation, repair, decoration, installation, or construction services provided.
2. Quotations & Pricing
2.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Quotes are estimates based on the information provided at the time and may be subject to change if additional labour, materials, or unforeseen issues arise.
2.3 Any amendments or extra work requested after commencement will be quoted separately and added to the final invoice.
3. Deposits & Payments
3.1 A deposit may be required before work begins.
3.2 Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been purchased or work has been scheduled.
3.3 Full payment must be made within 5 working days of project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4 Late payments will incur a daily interest charge of 5% of the outstanding amount.
4. Project Timelines
4.1 Timeframes are estimates and may change due to weather, supplier delays, structural discoveries, or other unavoidable circumstances.
4.2 The Company is not liable for delays outside of our control.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
Provide access to the property for the duration of the works.
Ensure electricity and water access where required.
Remove or protect personal belongings where necessary (unless otherwise agreed).
Ensure pets, children, or tenants do not interfere with health & safety or workflow.
6. Materials
6.1 Materials will be sourced by The Company unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 Material costs may vary due to market pricing and may be reflected in final invoicing.
7. Workmanship & Satisfaction
7.1 The Company carries out all work to a high professional standard.
7.2 The Client must report any concerns within 7 days of completion.
7.3 After 7 days, work will be deemed accepted and approved.
8. Insurance & Liability
⚠ 8.1 The Company does not provide structural guarantees, insurance-backed warranties, or liability cover for completed works.
8.2 The Company is not liable for:
Accidental damage not caused by negligence
Pre-existing structural issues
Indirect or consequential losses
Weather-related or environmental damage
Cost of third-party repairs if unauthorised
9. Cancellations
9.1 If the Client cancels less than 7 days before the start date, the deposit is forfeited.
9.2 If the Company has purchased materials, the Client must pay for those in full.
10. Disputes
10.1 Any disputes will be addressed through direct discussion in good faith.
10.2 If unresolved, disputes will follow UK mediation procedures.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By accepting a quotation, paying a deposit, or allowing work to commence, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
